The object is a handcrafted coat rack made out of recycled components, presenting a functional yet questionable object as a dialogue starter. Based on both an engineer and a maker way, this master thesis (realised at Jönköping School of Engineering) adopted two differents approaches; industrial design integrates technology and systematic processes to optimize product form and function, emphasizing a seamless blend of technical elements and user-centered design. In turn, experimental design is at the limit between spontaneous crafting, art, and technology focusing on the act of making.

The project was supervised by Martin Schnabl, breadedEscalope studio.
