The second edition of "Built to Last" took place during the Stockholm Creative Week 2023 in collaboration with Norrmalms Kartongfabrik (NKF1916). For this edition we created Lamp 2, a desk lamp, as a medium focusing on “manufacturing”.

The lamp explores the pragmatism and old manufacturing techniques, materials and forms. After many prototypes and iterations (portability, lighted area and assembly) the final lamp is entirely made of paper board, except for the lighting source and rotation screws.


A few words about NKF1916: founded more than a century ago as the first woman-owned business in Sweden, Norrmalms Kartongfabrik makes premium boxes that refute the outdated notion of mindless disposability.

A few words about Built to Last by Office of Possibilities: a reocurring event that puts emphasis on how things are put together and involves the guests in the process, highlighting the feelings of pure joy from using one's hands to create something.
